Make sure to go in with a microfiber cloth, or even a Swiffer, to remove everything that you can from the walls before you start painting. Painting Around the Toilet

This may seem like the most daunting part of painting your bathroom. How do you get into all of those hard-to-reach places? The answer is simple: with a paint sponge brush. You can find these at your local hardware store.

To use the paint sponge brush, apply paint to only one side of the sponge. Then all you need to do is apply even coats of paint to the area around your toilet. The best way to go about this is to start in the middle of your toilet tank and work your way out to the sides.

Paint Colour

Since most bathrooms are on the smaller side, you will want to opt for a paint colour that makes the room feel more spacious. Think pastel and light shades of blue, yellow, and lavender. Not only do these colours make a small room feel larger, but they also go a long way in making the room feel bright, crisp, modern, and clean.

Preparation

To make your experience painting your bathroom even easier, be sure to properly prepare before you start painting. This means gathering up all of the supplies you’ll need (paint, paintbrushes, floor covering, painter’s tape, etc.) and preparing the space (covering the floor, applying the painter’s tape, etc.).
